Windows 7 BETA Now Out

This information is likely to be quickly outdated. This article was written on Sunday January 11, 2009 at 1:16PM, while I was drinking state-issued Orange Juice (…and we really don’t know what they put in this stuff, but, its not that bad…)

Microsoft has released the public BETA for Windows 7. This is, as anyone might be able to guess, “really cool”.
Its my understanding that they will let 1.5 millions users in, the exact number is something I am not sure of.

You can download it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/beta-download.aspx

IMPORTANT: BETA WILL EXPIRE AUGUST 2009!
MUST DOWNLOAD IN INTERNET EXPLORER
Once you get the download going, go back to the page where you get your key. Refresh the page a few times. Seems you can get a total of 5 keys out of the website.

I have already tried this out on a virtual PC, howevere,  I would highly recomend using it on a real computer if its possible for you to do so. I was actually considering decrypting my drive (AGAIN!) so as to do a dual boot setup. The only problem is I know I can only use the operating system until August 2009.

About Jesse Zylstra

Hey! My name is Jesse Zylstra, and I am the administrator of this website. I used to write about free software and programs, online web applications, and new technology -- especially open-source. Now I just write udder nonsense. I also play pipe organ, which I'm told is a fun and interesting fact about me. In the past, I studied network administration. Now I've been trying to pursue a real fake bachelors degree for the last, oh, 10 years or so.
