Spiceworks: Free Network Administration Software (Windows)

Spiceworks is a free program for Network Administrators intended to monitor all sizes of networks. Spiceworks contains many built-in features, plus many extensions/plugins to enhance the experience. Since Spiceworks uses a browser interface, you can access Spiceworks from another computer by allowing the port connection. The main features of Spiceworks are the ability to monitor the computers on the network, create an inventory list of these items and add information to individual computers, monitor disk space, antivirus, printers and toner level, detect software installed, and allow you to track warranty information.
Spiceworks also features an integrated and customizable Help-Desk system, giving you a free tech-ticket type system to monitor the ticket requests of your users.

Spiceworks is made free for any users — even businesses. Spiceworks is supported by advertisements located on the left-hand pane of the web interface, but for a price these can be removed.

About Jesse Zylstra

Hey! My name is Jesse Zylstra, and I am the administrator of this website. I used to write about free software and programs, online web applications, and new technology -- especially open-source. Now I just write udder nonsense. I also play pipe organ, which I'm told is a fun and interesting fact about me. In the past, I studied network administration. Now I've been trying to pursue a real fake bachelors degree for the last, oh, 10 years or so.
