Any Format to PDF

Cute PDF LogoMany programs are available to convert pretty much any document in to a PDF for a price. CutePDF does this for free for both home, and commercial use. NO watermarks, popups, or ads. That’s only the first best part.

The second best part is how easy it is to use. You do the following: Press “Print” in the program with the file you want to send to a PDF Document, and select CutePDF Writer. You will be prompted asking where you want to save, and that’s it! The program “Prints” your document to the PDF format.

There is nothing complex about this program whatsoever. Non-computer-savvy people need not be afraid. If you need to create PDF Documents, Download CutePDF — it’s a simple installation with no hidden surprises. (Except, you may want to un-check the “Yahoo Toolbar” installation option, unless you want yet another toolbar…)

PDF documents have become a standard for file sharing in the business world. I honestly do not see why, as until these sorts of program came out PDF documents were expensive to create.

About Jesse Zylstra

Hey! My name is Jesse Zylstra, and I am the administrator of this website. I used to write about free software and programs, online web applications, and new technology -- especially open-source. Now I just write udder nonsense. I also play pipe organ, which I'm told is a fun and interesting fact about me. In the past, I studied network administration. Now I've been trying to pursue a real fake bachelors degree for the last, oh, 10 years or so.

Been using PDFCreator for years, happy with it, also free (open source). Any advantages to CutePDF?

I was actually going to write my article about PDFCreator and CutePDF.
I went to install PDFCreator to see how well it worked (I used CutePDF in the past), and it installed a \”PDF Toolbar\” for me, without first prompting. Upon uninstalling the toolbar, it brought me to a page that belonged to the toolbar creator's website asking why I no longer wanted the toolbar, the website had a red mark on it's WOT report, which caused me concern.

EDIT: After looking into it farther, it seems that inside the installation there should have been a box to check to not install this toolbar — I did not see it, but I am fallible. The fact that a toolbar attached to a suspicious site would still cause me a lot of concern.
